Beginning July, 1, 2024, all applications for a public exhibition or display of fireworks and/or pyrotechnics or proximate audience are now required to be submitted directly the the Authority Having Jurisdiction, the Rome-Floyd Fire Department. This change is in accordance with SB 417, Section 8. SB 417

All Firework Displays shall be in accordance with O.C.G.A Title 25, NFPA 1123 and 1126 and Rules and Regulations 120-3-22. Upon receiving the firework application, an electronic invoice will be sent to the email on the application. Once paid, the application will be reviewed with all supporting documentation and the venue site. Once approved, a permit will be issued for the display. The permit can be emailed, or picked up in person at the Rome-Floyd Fire Department Administration Building located at 409 E. 12th St., Rome, Ga. 30161.
