The City of Rome Tree Board offers a variety of programs to promote the appreciation and care of trees in our community. These programs allow the public to get involved in local initiatives and help further our mission of preservation and sustainability.

Arbor Day Celebration:
Arbor Day is a special event held annually to celebrate and promote the planting and care of trees. The City of Rome Tree Board organizes a community event every February to engage citizens of all ages in tree planting, education, and stewardship. The celebration includes planting trees in public spaces, educational programs for schools, and outreach to local organizations to encourage the planting of trees throughout our community.

Memorial Arboretum
The Memorial Arboretum is a unique project designed to honor and remember loved ones through the planting of trees. Individuals or families can dedicate trees in memory or celebration of a person or event, creating a lasting tribute in a serene, green space. The Tree Board contributes to the city’s urban forest while providing a meaningful way to commemorate important milestones.

The Memorial Arboretum, located behind the Emperor's Stadium and Ridgeferry Park, has long been a beautiful destination to admire the trees dedicated in honor of loved ones. However, due to space limitations, this area is no longer accepting new tree dedications.

A new Memorial Arboretum has been established along the scenic Mount Berry Trail, located off Cologni Way. This picturesque trail provides a peaceful setting for individuals to pay homage to loved ones by dedicating a tree. It's a wonderful way to create a lasting tribute while enhancing the beauty of our city's green spaces.
